About Us

Brent Messer, the owner of Facet Foundry Jewelry Studio, is passionate about his work. A Gastonia native, he discovered his appreciation for art from local art educators, Jim Biggers, and Al Harris. He graduated from Appalachian State University in 1984, with majors in Art Education and Art Marketing.

Making your jewelry dreams come true since 1992

Brent was introduced to jewelry making by ASU instructor Dr. Harold Carrin and honed his talents in the fine art by working with Turkish Master Jeweler, Sureyya Cam.  Brent's son, Ben, joined the business in 2014.  Ben, also an Appalachian State University graduate, majoring in Product Design, brings his computer-aided design skills to expand Facet Foundry's custom design capabilities.

Facet Foundry Jewelry Studio was founded on the premise that jewelry is a wearable art form. Now in operation since 1992, the jewelry studio on South New Hope Road in Gastonia serves the Charlotte region including, Belmont, Lake Wylie, Clover, Pineville, and Mooresville. Offering exquisite custom jewelry, art jewelry, fine jewelry, diamonds, and beautiful gemstones.  Facet Foundry Jewelry Studio is well known in the area for their expert, in-house jewelry repair and restoration.

Brent is an artist, craftsman, and businessman who has cultivated his studio on a foundation of integrity and trust.  He and his staff pride themselves on the expertise that they provide while offering warm, friendly, dependable, and timely service.
